Casa Anna: your Sicilian holidays
At 50 meters from the sandy and quiet public beach, Casa Anna is an ideal destination for family holidays with children. Casa Anna offers year-round stays in two-bedrooms apartments (four beds each). Each apartment has a bathroom with shower, an equipped kitchen, a TV, air conditioning and balconies with sea view. Casa Anna is located in the village of Donnalucata, in the province of Ragusa, a village of sailors in the heart of the Baroque Sicily. Donnalucata is a short distance away from famous places such as Ragusa (30 km), Scicli (7 km), Noto (54 km), Modica (18).
This spectacular scenario was not be coincidence chosen as the setting for the popular Italian Drama series based on the books featuring the Sicilian detective, Salvo Montalbano "Inspector Montalbano". The area is also known for its rich culinary tradition.
The apartments
Casa Anna is constituted by 4 apartments rentable
throughout the year. The two-bedrooms apartment are about 70-80 square meters, equipped with 4 beds, air conditioning fan, TV, bathroom with shower and hair dryer, fully equipped kitchen also
with oven, balconies with sea view, TV, and bed linen (bed sheets and towels) . In each apartment there are also a beach umbrella and two chairs for the beach. Casa Anna offers its guests also a
shared laundry. Each apartment characteristically takes its name from a photo hanging on the outside its door (click the name of the apartment to see the pics): "Reti" (Fishnets), "Barche" (Boats), "Granchi" (Crabs), "Gelsomini"
(Jasmine).
Where we are
Casa Anna is located in via Itaca 5 Donnalucata, 50 meters from the sea and the sandy beach (locally referred as to “the western beach"), and is just as close to the center of Donnalucata with its services: pharmacy, newsagent, supermarket, fish-market, church, open air cinema, banks, bars and pizzerias etc. Just in front of the house passes one of the two pedestrian promenades of Donnalucata, the so called “Lungomare”; the other, the longest, is only few meters away. In Donnalucata there is also a doctor and a Post Office.
How to reach us
By car:
- from Catania: follow the national highway A18 Catania-Gela and get out in Rosolini (compulsory exit); from there follow to road to Pozzallo (SP66)- Marina di Modica-Sampieri (SP65)-Cava d'Aliga and finally Donnalucata (SP64).
- From the Western coast: follow the national road Agrigento-Gela, proceed towards Vittoria-Comiso-Ragusa, then follow the directions to Marina di Ragusa and from there to Donnalucata.
By plane:
The nearest airports are the international airport of Catania-Fontanarossa "Vincenzo Bellini", where several domestic and international companies operate, and the ''Airport Iblei - Pio La Torre” of Comiso, which operates the Alitalia and Ryanair airlines.

Casa Anna’s apartments can be rented for short or long periods throughout the year. Weekly rates include the final cleaning and the provision of linen (sheets and towels) and are approximately as follow:
May-June-July and September: from 350 to 500 Euro a week
August: from 500 to 700 Euro a week
